ANTIGEN RAPID TEST KIT

The COVID-19 (SARS-COV2)

ANTIGEN RAPID TEST KIT (Colloidal Gold Immunochromatography)

The COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that has never been found in human bodies before. In addition to the COVID-19, there are six other coronavirus known that can infect huuman beings. Among them four kinds are more common in human, which are low pathogenic, only cause mild respiratory symptoms similar to the common cold. The other two are known as SARS coronavirus and MERS coronavirus.

The COVID-19 is the newly discovered seventh coronavirus that can infect human beings. The virus causes an immune response in the lungs, leading to pneumonia, which is life-threatening in severe cases. The COVID-19 is extremely contagious and can be transmitted through channels such as body fluids, air droplets, and feces, etc. Therefore, early diagnosis of the COVID-19 can effectively treat patients, and also effectively isolate patients to avoid further infection.

Secretions Collection:

  1. Insert the swab into the nasal cavity where secretions are most when collect nasal secretions. Gently rotate and push the swab into the nasal cavity until the nasal turbinate is blocked (about 2.0-2.5cm from the nostril), then press the swab against the nasal wall for three times and remove the swab.
  2. Throat secretions collection:
    • Insert the swab completely from the mouth into the throat, centering on the red part of the throat wall and maxillary tonsils, and rub the bilateral throat tonsils and throat wall moderately. Avoid touching the tongue and remove the swab.
  3. Specimen Extraction
    • Put the swab into the sampling tube and rotate it to make the sample dissolve in the solution as much as possible.
    • Open the aluminum foil bag along the tear mouth and take the test cassette out, and put it in flat. Add 100ul (about 4 drops) of sample solution extract to the sample well of the test casssette.

Serum/Plasma Specimen:

  1. Open the box and take out the test cassettle and put it at room temperature for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Add 80ul of serum or plasma to the sample well by using dropper.
  3. Observe the results after 15 minutes, and the results showed after 20 minutes have no significance

Intended Use:

This kit is used to qualitative detection of NP antigen of the COVID-19 in human nasopharyngeal swab and oropharyngeal swab samples. It is mainly used for clinical reference, but cannot be used as the basis of diagnosis of the COVID-19.
